WSOP 2007 Coverage

Event #3 NL $1500

Ciarin O'Leary Wins Event #3 ($727,012)
Hand #59 - Paul Evans has the button, he limps for 120,000, and O'Leary checks his option. The flop comes {K-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{2-Spades}. O'Leary checks, Evans bets 500,000, O'Leary moves all in, and Evans immediately calls with {6-Spades}{3-Spades} for a pair of sixes. O'Leary shows {K-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}, and leads with a pair of kings. Evans needs to catch a six, a three, or something runner-runner to stay alive.
The turn card is the {K-Spades}, and O'Leary hits trip kings while Evans picks up a flush draw. He needs a spade that doesn't pair the board to survive.
The river card is the {9-Diamonds}, and Paul Evans is eliminated in second place, earning $450,150.

Bei diesem Event tauchte auch der erste Deutsche an einem Final Table auf, es handelte sich um Andreas Krause. Er schied als 6th aus.

Andreas Krause Eliminated in 6th Place ($94,122)
Hand #44 - Andreas Krause has the button in seat 4, he moves all in, and Evans calls from the small blind with {A-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}. Krause shows {K-Hearts}{10-Clubs}, and he'll need to improve to stay alive.
The flop comes {A-Spades}{6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}, and Evans solidifes his lead with a pair of aces. Krause needs something runner-runner to survive.
The turn card is the {8-Clubs}, the river card is the {K-Clubs}, and Evans wins the pot to eliminate Andreas Krause in sixth place, earning $94,122.

Event #1 Mixed $5000

Steve Billirakis Wins Event #1 ($536,287)
Hand #157 - (Limit) Greg 'FBT' Mueller has the button. He raises to 200,000, Billirakis reraises to 300,000, Mueller goes all in for 325,000, and Billirakis calls with {K-Spades}{2-Diamonds}. Mueller shows {5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}, and he'll need to improve to stay alive.
The flop comes {Q-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{2-Spades}, and Billirakis pairs his deuce to retain the lead. The turn card is the {8-Hearts}, and Mueller needs a five or a four on the river to survive.
The river card is the {Q-Spades}, and Greg 'FBT' Mueller is eliminated in second place, earning $328,554.
